Final Season Points
have been posted. Thanks to all who ran the series this year.  It has been wet, it has been hot, and it has been fun! A few statistics have been added to the standings to show how close the competition has been this year, with the top 4 positions being held by most of the members at least one time.

Hope to see everyone again in 2007! For details, come see us at the Kartgraphix display at Kart Expo in February in its all new home!

Race 9 Race Summary and Points have been posted. Due to the unexpected occurrence of rain on the limited schedule, the series will be scored based on the best 7 finishes will be counted toward the final points standing, and is reflected in the current points summary. To clarify; only points and finishing results of feature races count toward the series standings.  No points have been assigned for rained out feature races. The Points Structure has been revised to reflect these adjustments.

Race 8 Race Summary and Points have been posted. September 17 is a non-points fun day for all TaG racers.  Many Masters Series members plan to some out.  There will also be a contingent of Rotax racers out for the weekend. Just two more races remaining in the Masters Series! Interesting side notes: Sandy Mitz holds the attendance record, attending all 6 scoring races; followed by Hanisch, Thomas, Mente, Skowron, Mussa and Anthenson with 5 races; Willmorth, Wessel and Stagl with 4, Wirth attending 3; and Kalish, Olsen, Bartels, and Sharp making a showing for 2 races. The average attendance per race is 11.

Race
4 cancelled do to Rain! This series does not play the rain-points game, so one additional drop will be added, to eliminate the lost race from the schedule. Hopefully this will be the last wet one for 2006! More detail on the "Fast Time by Fastech" Fastest time of the year: The winner will receive a $ 100 gift certificate from Fastech Racing. Participants must display a Fastech Decal. See Sandy Mitz for the decals at the next race!

Race 2 Race Summary and Points have been posted.  Congratulations to everyone and welcome to Scott Kalish and Dave Wirth for their first race of the season.  We were also happy to see Jeff Hanisch and Jeff Wesell back in action after suffering engine problems before the start of the last race.

One more entry today - Jeff Wesell puts the count at 19.  This is significant as many of the TaG Masters members this season are new members and TaG only members (not from other classes, in addition to those returning for the second season. Seems this TaG concept is indeed strong!  Just a couple more days to go!

Welcome Leonard Nix, our latest entry into the Series!  That puts us at 16!  Tae a look at the engine mix so far.  (6) Leopards, (2) Bilands, (3) Soniks, (2) PRDs, (1) Comer, (1) Italsis, and (1) Rok.  Now THAT is what a TaG Class should look like.

Scott Kalish, our 2005 TAG Masters Champion returns for 2006!  This uear he sports a new Merlin/Leopard combination. That's 13 to date.

Important Note: The Badger Kart Club Wheels and Deals newsletter has published an obsolete rules page in the last two issues.  Specifically, the weights and engines are incorrect.  Please refer to the Rules page on this web site for the most current and only rules that will be used for the season.  This site posts the current rules, and will supersede all other versions, printed or published.

Steve Mente declared a chassis at last - a Birel.  While it's cold and white outside, the season will be upon us soon enough.  If you're at all thinking about joining the series, get your application in!

The Race Schedule has been set for race dates and is final. The only issue remaining, and dependant on Badger Kart Club, is whether we will be racing at the Briggs Motorplex (RA) this season.  If Badger decides to race at the Motorplex on any of the scheduled TAG Masters dates, the TAG Masters race will follow the club.

Please refer to the Rules Page and make note of the revised weight breaks and engines included in the series.  We have updated the weights to reflect the current changes in TAG USA Specifications between engines, while maintaining the general weight levels we originally set up.  For the majority of those already signed up, there is either no impact, or a change of no more than 5 pounds. For ready reference, minimum weights have also been added to the Scoring Page for each entrant.
